Extraordinary ceremonial-grade matcha, grown in the traditional way in the Tenryu region.
The "Tezumi" hand-picking method, reserved for only the finest teas in Japan, ensures unmatched quality. Though labor-intensive, slow, and costly, hand-picking delivers results that surpass even the most advanced mechanical harvesting techniques.
The leaves were expertly processed by the renowned tea master Natsumi Osada, who skillfully brought out the full potential of the rare Samidori cultivar (not to be confused with Saemidori). Grinding was completed in November 2024 using a traditional stone mill, ensuring the finest matcha powder.
The flavor is intense, rich, and delicious, making this matcha ideal for ceremonial koicha preparation, while also being delightful as usucha.
