Mr. Suzuki (like Mr. Morishita) is from Isagawa, a village in the mountains of Shizuoka Province. He is a member of a farmer cooperative in Isagawa.
His speciality is, very unusually for Japan, dark oxidized teas. He has taken the 'hiire' roasting step to a great level, where you can feel the warm trace of the fire, but it does not disturb the taste of the tea. He collaborates with other farmers and for example, the delicate "nuttiness" in Kukicha Murakami is also his work.
